Natural Features
There is an island of old growth forest surrounded by rich wetland. The wetland contains State-listed wild rice. The upland has enormous examples of hemlock, white pine, red oak and beech trees. The understory is rich in flora but has suffered in the past few years due to over browsing by deer and turkey. The wetland is extensive but is very hard to navigate because the ground is so soft.
