Spirit Springs Sanctuary
Spring is in the air!
It makes you feel good – and even better when you know you’re helping other people and the environment!
The spring wildflowers at Spirit Springs Sanctuary are spectacular! But it’s hard for these delicate plants to get the light and nutrition they need when the forest is overrun with invasive plants such as multi-flora rose and autumn olive. We can help by getting out into the woods before these sensitive flowers have emerged and lopping, chopping, pulling, stacking, and generally make things difficult for the invaders. Spend an afternoon in the woods doing brush removal i March, then come back in April and May to see the lovely results of your labor!
