Unless otherwise indicates, all SWMLC events are free and open to the public! Please check this page frequently as we add more events to the calendar.
The majority of our events are held outdoors and they are rarely cancelled due to weather — unless there’s a chance of thunder and lightning (or rough, high water for paddle events). For that reason, please be sure to check the website or Facebook the morning of an event if stormy weather is predicted.
And remember, our public preserves are open every day from dawn to dusk, without an admission fee. Get outside . . . play with your kids, take a hike, go snowshoeing or cross-country skiing, look for birds, sit and think, look up at the sky, walk your leashed dog (please be sure to clean up after it!), build a snowman, make snow angels, enjoy the quiet . . . it will do you good!
