Join us for an after-hours event at the preserve focused on moths! Not only are these night-time creatures beautiful, they’re also ecologically important and super diverse. At this event, we will set up a couple of moth watching stations. You can expect to learn the basics of moth identification and ecology.

♦  Although there will be a couple of naturalists at this event to help with identification, you may find it helpful to download the apps iNaturalist and Seek on your phone to help you with moth identification. Plus, through iNaturalist, you can help collect citizen science data!

♦  Dogs are typically welcome at SWMLC preserves, but we ask that you leave your furry friend at home for this guided nature event.

♦  So you can be prepared, there are no restrooms at this preserve.
