Natural Features
This preserve protects floodplain forest and wet meadows along the South Branch of the Paw Paw River shortly before it joins the North Branch. It provides breeding habitat for prothonotary warblers and protects the river corridor as part of one of the largest contiguous band of natural area in the region.  No non-native vegetation has been documented at this site and is in excellent ecological health.
