Lantern Lit Night Hike

Join us for a magical, lantern-lit hike under the night sky!
Limited to 40 participants.
• This family-friendly guided hike will be slow-paced and sometimes quiet so that we can enjoy the sights and sounds of the winter woods at night.
• It’s winter in Michigan and the weather is unpredictable, so please be aware that trail surfaces could be slippery if we’ve had recent freeze/thaw cycles. If that’s the case, ice cleats and/or hiking poles are strongly recommended!
• Warm up with complimentary hot chocolate (why is it so extra-good when you drink it outdoors in the cold?).
• Light conditions will be low – but that’s the idea! We will provide battery-powered candles and lanterns that emit a soft glow, so we ask that you not bring flashlights or headlamps in order to maintain the magical quality of being outdoors at night.

♦ There are no restrooms at Hidden Marsh Sanctuary.
♦ Though leashed dogs are normally welcome on the preserve, we ask that you please leave your four-footed friends home for this special guided hike.
