Sustain SWMLC Fund
Plant the seeds of forever . . .
In the same way that our ancestors knew that sowing the seeds of trees that would bear fruit year after year would help safeguard the survival of their families, we know that we must sow the seeds today that will ensure that we can protect these lands in perpetuity.
As a land conservation organization, SWMLC is responsible for the protection and management of lands in perpetuity, and therefore we must develop the financial resources to sustain our mission and responsibilities forever.
The Sustain SWMLC Fund is an endowment fund whose principal is protected and will continue to grow over time, eventually generating enough interest or dividends to pay for SWMLC’s annual operating costs, thus ensuring that, generations from now, SWMLC will be around to continue to protect and care for southwest Michigan’s most wild and scenic places.

The Sustain SWMLC Fund is intended to help ensure the long-term viability of SWMLC, and its funds are invested to provide for long-term growth of principal without undue exposure to risk, through capital appreciation, return on investment, diversification, donor development, and new gifts.
